Through the social network X, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that Guyana continues to violate international law by illegally granting oil production licenses to oil companies in the Stabroek Block, which seeks to dispose of energy resources in undelimited maritime areas.
“The abuses of the Government of Guyana, in the service of Exxon Mobil and energy transnational corporations, constitute a flagrant violation of international law that prohibits the unilateral disposal of a pending sea to be delimited,” Rodríguez said on the social network.
He also described Guyana's actions as desperate, which seek to steal oil from Venezuela to give it to the centers of power.
In that regard, he reaffirmed Venezuela's position in defense of its sovereignty. “The time has come for historical truth in defense of our territory! The Venezuelan people will win! Nothing will stop us!” , he assured.
