The Santa Rosa de Lima Chapel of the Santa Rosa Catholic University (UCSAR) will stage this Thursday, May 28, the concert “Voices in Identity”, a cultural activity that will include the participation of the Vicente Emilio Sojo Choir, an artistic group of the National Music Company Foundation.

The presentation will take place at 4:00 in the afternoon and will be led by Maestro Ángel Rengifo Mendoza, who will lead the choral body in the interpretation of pieces such as Heavenly Light, by Alexander Kopylow; Gloria, by Athos Palma; O Sanctissima, by José Antonio Páez; Rain Shoes, by Vicente Emilio Sojo; El Gallo, by Rafael Suárez; and Ven, by S. Acosta, with arrangement by Gonzalo Peña, reviews the Ministry for Culture.

The concert is part of the cultural program promoted by the UCSAR to offer the student community spaces to meet different artistic expressions. In addition, admission to the event will be free for the public, although there will be limited capacity.

The activity will also highlight the musical side of the hero José Antonio Páez, known as the “Centaur of the Plains”, who, in addition to his military career, cultivated a wide fondness for music and composition.
