This Tuesday, Vietnam and the People's Republic of China agreed to deepen their strategic cooperation in green industry and clean technologies following a high-level exchange program held in Beijing.
The meeting, co-organized by the Embassy of Vietnam and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, brought together about 80 officials and experts with the objective of coordinating institutional policies and promoting sustainable development.
The Vietnamese ambassador, Pham Thanh Binh, said that ecological transformation is a strategic priority for his nation, stressing that Vietnam's next political framework for the period 2026-2030 will place environmental protection at the same level as economic and social growth. In the same way, he highlighted the great potential of partnering with the neighboring country to take advantage of its remarkable advances in renewable energy and carbon markets.
For their part, the Chinese representatives indicated that bilateral cooperation will focus on the harmonization of green regulations, the expansion of clean energy and circular economy projects, and the development of the workforce through technology transfer.
This initiative is directly linked to the priorities of China's new Five-Year Plan, which places ecological security at the center of its national growth.
Industry experts project that this binational commitment will open up a range of opportunities across Asia through investments in sustainable infrastructure and joint research. The strengthening of these ties seeks to consolidate cross-border energy projects and establish practical mechanisms of mutual benefit to successfully mitigate the effects of global climate change.
