Vietnam and Venezuela strengthen bilateral cooperation ties in various sectors

Both parties ratified the fraternity and solidarity that exist between the two countries

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a bilateral meeting with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Venezuela, Vu Trung My, to review the agreements signed in the field of oil, telecommunications, tourism, agriculture and other areas of common interest.

At the meeting, held in Caracas, both parties ratified the fraternity and solidarity that has existed between the two countries for more than 34 years, when they established diplomatic relations.

They also shared positions in rejection of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against free and sovereign peoples.

Rodríguez said that for Venezuela the People of Vietnam are an example of struggle and resistance against imperialism and thanked the Vietnamese people for their support and cooperation in various fields, especially in the energy sector.

For his part, Ambassador Vu Trung My, expressed his admiration for the courage and dignity of the Venezuelan people, and reiterated his willingness to continue promoting joint projects that benefit both nations.

At this meeting, the plan for integration between the Peoples between Venezuela and Vietnam was developed, scheduled for the second half of this year, in which new agreements are expected to be finalized in political, economic and technological matters.
