The Institute of Performing Arts and
Music (IAEM) reported that next Tuesday, March 10, the seventh
Meeting of Knowledge, Sounds and Flavors will begin, which this year will be held under the
motto: “I am Caribbean, from the land where the sun is born”.
This cultural event, which will run until
Thursday, April 16, has the fundamental purpose of promoting regional
integration through music, dance and history.
This year's edition stands out for the union
of five nations that share a deep Caribbean root and identity: the Dominican
Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela. Through their
diverse expressions, these countries will show the richness that defines the region.
The activities will be headquartered in
the Tower of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, located in the
Simon Bolivar Center, Plaza Caracas.
The call is open to the
general public, with the firm objective of encouraging the exchange of experiences
on the traditional knowledge that defines the essence of Caribbean culture
. The IAEM invites the entire community to join this celebration of the identity that unites
the peoples of the land where the sun is born.
