The Vinotinto Women's Under 20 debuted with a 2-0 victory against Uruguay in their first Group A match of the South American Championship in the category, which takes place at the Emiliano Ghezzi stadium in Asunción, Paraguay.

Those led by Ángel Hualde won the victory thanks to a double from Genesis Hernández in the first half.

For her valuable performance, Hernández was awarded as the most valuable player of the match.

In the other match of the day, Paraguay beat Chile 4-0.

These results equalize Venezuela and Paraguay in first place in group A with 3 points each.

The national team will have a rest day this Friday and will resume activity next Sunday, February 8, when they face Colombia at 5:00 in the afternoon.

This competition gives four places to the World Cup category that Poland will organize between September 5 and 27 next year.
