The Bolivarian Government is implementing a systematic monitoring and maintenance plan for three of the main water sources in the state of Mérida, to ensure operational continuity and efficient distribution of drinking water for the population.

This comprehensive action, carried out by the Ministry of People's Water Power (MINAGUAS), directly mitigates the impact of weather variables on regional water infrastructure.

The specialized work fronts were deployed simultaneously in nerve points of the entity.

In the Alberto Adriani municipality, engineering personnel optimized the flow collection structures in the Toma Cacique Dam, together with the design of pipeline projects in the primary catchments of the Mucujepe Water Treatment Plant.

In addition, in the Gonzalo Picón Febres parish, maintenance, sanding and sediment removal maneuvers were carried out in the Quebrada La Cuesta basin.

The sanding work completely cleaned the main ducts, allowing adequate flow to be maintained and structural obstructions to be avoided during the rainy season.
