Within the framework of efficiency policies in public services, the Ministry of the People's Power for Water Care (MINAGUAS), through the Multidisciplinary Water Team, put into operation two deep wells in the parish of El Furrial, in Monagas state, with the objective of strengthening the supply of drinking water and directly serving 640 families in the area.
The rehabilitation work was carried out in two strategic sectors. In Candelaria Norte, workers installed a 7.5 horsepower pump, which provides a flow of 6 liters of water per second to guarantee service to 96 families in this community, the Ministry said on its website.
Simultaneously, the MINAGUAS technical team activated the deep well in the Monteverde La Felicidad sector by installing 15 HP submersible equipment. With this action, 10 liters per second are added to the distribution network, optimizing service for 544 families from six neighboring sectors.
The spokeswoman for the Monteverde La Felicidad community, Romayne Figuera, highlighted the management of the Bolivarian Government and the coordination with HIDROVEN.
“We are happy with the immediate response to our requests; demonstrating that this is how we work: People and Government in perfect coordination to provide a more efficient service to communities,” he said.
With the reactivation of these deep wells, MINAGUAS reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the water infrastructure in the state, adding 16 liters per second to the distribution system and improving the quality of life of the people of Monagua through concrete actions in the field.
