The Somos Especiales health care program, developed by the government of Yaracuy, distributed 542,828 medications during its first care cycle, including neurological treatments, vitamins and nutritional supplements.
This was reported by the plan's coordinator, Edith Morón, who stressed this Wednesday that medicines are delivered in a timely, free and bimonthly manner so that each patient fully covers their treatments for 60 days.
The official explained that We Are Special prioritizes essential drugs for neurological control and cognitive development, details a local press release.
He commented that the distribution of contributions is made by municipality, in days that in total serve 1,075 students from the 34 special education schools in the state, plus the isolated cases detected in the social days that take place weekly in the 14 municipalities.
