This Monday, April 29, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, indicated during the La Tolda press conference what his political agenda will be for the elections on July 28.

Regarding the issue of organizing and mobilizing the PSUV, he said:

  • “Reviewing the tasks to be done for the elections of July 28 (...) the party preparing; the forces of the Bolivarian Revolution, Social Movements, the Great Patriotic Pole, all lining up to obtain the victory of July 28.”
  • the triumph of the Bolivarian Revolution “is the victory of love for the Fatherland, of peace, of tranquility and of the true progress of our people”.
  • “We are still on the street (...) Where Chavism is located it is a guarantee of peace, when Chavism is on the street it is peace, we are hope and when hope is on the street it is that the people are on the street”.
  • The PSUV will accompany the workers of the Homeland next Wednesday, May 1st.
  • “Nobody is going to get us out of the streets, the streets belong to the people and especially in this case the people who want peace.”

He also referred to the alliance between the Peoples of the World and noted:

  • “The world is moving and these strategic alliances between Peoples are much stronger than those old structures such as the OAS (Organization of American States), which are bound by imperialism.”
  • The final declaration of the above-mentioned Summit is to adopt the ALBA-TCP Strategic Agenda 2030 “as a guide and living document to face the years to come and consolidate the Alliance in an integral way, in a joint effort to strengthen the most important areas for the development and well-being of our peoples”.
  • “The principles of the Monroe Doctrine, which, after 200 years, is still being used to justify destabilizing actions and interventions in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
  • They “strongly condemned any effort to establish new forms of domination in the region and we vindicate the right to live within a continent free of imperial hegemony”.

With regard to the opposition, he noted:

  • “The violent opposition tried to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro, in a public, notorious and communicational event, with drones that exploded in front of the stage; they have attempted invasions, they even signed contracts with mercenaries to invade their own country.”
  • “It's a sick right! (...) they don't rest and are always the same, the same names are always the same faces, the same intentions of hatred against our country”.
  • “We support all research, whoever falls.”
  • “That's the root of fascism, they wouldn't want the comptroller's office to exist.”

  • In Miranda state, there were multiple fences showing the former mayor of Sucre (Carlos Ocariz) as the “fourth best mayor in the world. A lie! You were getting into Petare and in the worst conditions...; they live on propaganda, on the show.”
  • “We have denounced corruption when it came up on our side and we attacked it; the right doesn't, the right doesn't say anything because the payments come from here to Miami and Spain.”
  •  “That money belongs to Venezuelans, that money is not theirs.”
  • “Those who complain about the Anti-Fascism Law are the fascists; no one who acts with good behavior and who has among their characteristics, their conditions, in practice the rights of equality is going to complain.”
  • The media war persists and “every time we make an effort, we are able to understand the situation and adapt; the situation of 15 years ago, where the owners of communication and print media governed this country, is not the same”.

    • “We have to become efficient in order to break the media curtain from Miami and Spain.”
    • “Everyone stopped by the dealer Altamira, to take the photo with Juanito Alimaña (Juan Guaidó), with Leopoldo López, who were in charge, but then they had the photos deleted from the internet because it scratched them.”

    People mobilized against sanctions

Later, in the late afternoon, Cabello Rondón participated in the mobilization of the People of La Pastora, a parish in Caracas, to express their rejection of the illegal sanctions imposed by North American imperialism and to demonstrate support for President Nicolás Maduro.

At the close of this march, he addressed the People to express the importance of maintaining the mobilization in defense of peace in the country, which he recalled can only be guaranteed by the Bolivarian Revolution.

    • “Imperialism continues with the block and the sanctions and we are obliged to tell (Joe) Biden to lift the blockade now, to stop the persecution against the people of Venezuela.
    • “Imperialism is fixated because we are free, because we don't allow ourselves to be dominated, that's why they persecute us and today they have a presidential candidate, openly supported by them, decided in Washington.”
    • Here in La Pastora there are 111 communities, well there must be 111 Popular Units for Peace (UPPAZ), not to harm anyone but to defend peace.”
    • “We are obliged to preserve peace for ourselves and for them.”

The leader emphasized the organization ahead of the upcoming presidential elections in order to guarantee the victory of the candidate of the Fatherland and of Peace.

    • “We have to ensure that everyone is going to vote, we have to ensure that no one stays at home and for that to happen we have that organizational task of reaching every corner with that organized scheme.”
    • “The Chavista People are very clear and know where they are, who they are with and what they are like, but we must be organized.”
    • On the 28th we are going to win the elections vote by vote, but they must know that if they go to extremism or if they invent something to violate the peace of the Venezuelan people, we are going to give them the answer they deserve: If they look for us in the street they will find us in the streets”.

In reference to the candidate of opposition extremism and the United States, he recalled that this character, in addition to being one of those who called for a blockade and sanctions against the country, has not hidden his rejection of the People and especially against Venezuelan women.

    • “He represents the last names of the bad sons of the Fatherland , those who have made a disaster in the country since the arrival of the Spaniards, they are the ones who asked for sanctions and today they play crazy and in most cases the crazy ones.”
    • “Every time there are elections they go to elections and when they lose they say: I don't recognize the result of those elections, fraud.”
    • “Their candidate attacked women, attacked Venezuelan women who, for us, Venezuelan women, did not like a flower petal to make this gringo candidate come to attack Venezuelan women, then he went to attack sexodiversity and then against blacks, he doesn't like blacks and blacks, but he also attacked our indigenous people.”
    • “If they said that without being in power, imagine it being in power.”
