The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has called on its grassroots structures to hold meetings for the Consultation, Debate and Nomination of the Presidential Candidate with the red awning.

During the press conference, the first vice-president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed that the tolda has its own method for choosing its candidate. “The bases will say by consensus, I have no doubt who it will be, because our people are very clear about the titanic effort that brother President Nicolás Maduro has been making at the head of the presidency of the Republic, fighting attacks, sanctions, blockade, and leading this people to victory every time we have the opportunity,” he said.

In this regard, the PSUV established a methodology to carry out this consultation throughout the country, which we present below:

1. Grassroots meetings will be held at all levels of the structures (Street, Community, UBCH, EPP, EPM, EPE).

2. At each Base Assembly, the attendance and minutes of the meeting must be drawn up with the minutes and signatures of the participants.

3. The Heads of Street, Community and UBCH are responsible for collecting the minutes of each assembly.

4. In the case of Street Chiefs, they must submit their minutes to the Community Heads and the Community Heads must hand over to their UBCH Chief at the end of their Assemblies.

5. The Base Assemblies must be held starting at 9:00am adjusted to the reality of each territory.
