The Venezuelan women's under-17 team beat its counterpart from Paraguay 1-2 and will have to wait to find out if it will be present in the final phase of the South American Championship in the category being held in Paraguay.
At the stadium in Manizales, Colombia, the Llaneras tied through forward Avril Mejía and then it was the turn of midfielder Ailing Herrera, who took advantage of a rebound from the Paraguayan goalkeeper to give the victory to the nationals in the third minute of the aggregate.
Venezuela has five points in group A of the tournament, temporarily in qualifying positions, although it has to wait for the group's outcome on Friday.
