The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that the outstanding Venezuelan academic, Ximena González Broquen, was appointed as the new international coordinator of the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity (REDH).

González Broquen, who has a solid career as a philosopher, teacher and researcher, receives the witness from the hands of Miguel Ángel Pérez Pirela, to lead this space for critical thinking and cultural articulation.

The selection of the academic takes place through a strategic agreement between Venezuela and Cuba, the founding nations of REDH in 2003.

This movement reaffirms the historic legacy of Commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, who promoted the creation of this platform as a bastion in the face of global challenges. González Broquen's administration began in a geopolitical context of great relevance.

“It's Ximena's turn to coordinate the Network at crucial moments for humanity and especially for the peoples of Our America,” Villegas emphasized.
