With the objective of preserving and disseminating one of the most representative traditional expressions in the region, the Cultural Cabinet, the Institute of Culture and the Yaracuy Cultural Mission Foundation held a basic workshop and a discussion on Joropo Jorconeao at the Jacobo Ramírez Theater, in the municipality of San Felipe.

The activity brought together members of the San Felipe El Fuerte Commune, dance groups and cultural figures from the entity, who participated in a training day aimed at strengthening Yaracuana's cultural identity.

The workshop was led by Maestro Máximo Beltrán, from the municipality of Nirgua, who shared knowledge about the execution, techniques and rhythmic characteristics of this variant of the joropo, considered part of the state's musical and choreographic heritage.

As a complement to practical training, a discussion was held that addressed the historical origins of Joropo Jorconeao, its musical peculiarities and the importance of preserving traditions as part of the collective memory of peoples.

The day was attended by children and adolescents belonging to dance groups in the region, in an initiative that seeks to promote knowledge and appreciation of cultural manifestations among new generations.
