Yaracuyan children expanded their knowledge about astronomy and natural sciences

The scientific hotbed continues to bring young people closer to science

A group of 100 students from the Yaracuy Educational Center, in the homonymous state, specifically located in the Marín sector, participated in a scientific conference organized by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) in the region, where they explored the world of astronomy and other areas of science.

During the activity, the scientific seedbeds reinforced their knowledge in the area of astronomy, taking an interplanetary trip thanks to the Stellarium software, in addition to learning about Kepler's Laws.

In this area, young people also used their knowledge of mathematics to be able to measure astronomical distances, the Ministry of Science and Technology reported in a press release.

In the same way, the students were able to learn about agroecology, where they learned about the extraction of native seeds and conservation techniques, tools necessary to strengthen food sovereignty in the country.

In the area of biology, the young people at the educational institution were able to experiment with a microscope and observe the world of insects, their classification and were able to identify species.

The scientific day also included dynamic activities to reinforce their knowledge in the area of chemistry, where they researched the oxidation-reduction reaction, the power of acids and their use in everyday life.
