The Venezuelan Olympic triple jump champion Yulimar
Rojas has renewed for two seasons as an athlete of FC Barcelona, of which she will be
part until December 31, 2026, according to the Catalan club.
The Venezuelan, who joined Barça in November 2016,
will compete again this weekend in the City of Salamanca tournament, although she will do
so in the long jump discipline, after overcoming an Achilles tendon injury, for which she has been away from the slopes for almost a year and
prevented the world record for triple jump (15.74 meters) from defending the gold medal she won in the Paris 2024 Olympic
Games
Tokyo 2020.
Rojas will start competing in the long jump and plans to gradually
rejoin his favorite discipline, the triple jump, as
specified by FC Barcelona in a press release published on its website.
In this regard, in 2025, it will face a calendar full of
challenges, such as the Diamond League and the Tokyo Outdoor World Cup, among others.
