113 deaths from dengue fever recorded in Brazil so far in 2024

This Tuesday, the Brazilian Ministry of Health reported that the South American nation has registered at least 113 deaths from dengue fever so far this year, while another 438 deaths are under investigation.

 

In addition, he indicated that there are 653,656 probable cases of dengue fever, which means an increase of 294% compared to the same period in 2023, when the country broke the record for deaths from the disease.

 

In this regard, he specified that the current level had never been reached so quickly, which is why it is estimated that the South American country could reach 4.2 million cases by the end of the year.

 

The Ministry of Health plans to vaccinate about 3.2 million people by the end of 2024.
