With specialized care for 297 patients, the second phase of the Ophthalmological Surgical Plan was successfully completed in Trujillo state. The conference, held at the facilities of the Doctor Pedro Emilio Carrillo University Hospital in the city of Valera, represents a firm step in consolidating efforts to guarantee the right to free and quality health in the Andean region.
According to the official report of the Trujillana Health Foundation (Fundasalud), the beneficiaries were recruited through the VenApp application and the 1×10 Good Governance system.
The comprehensive care process includes specialized ophthalmic evaluation, biometric studies, laboratory tests, cardiovascular and pre-anesthesia evaluations.
The success of this operation involved the strategic participation of a team of high-level specialists from the “Doctor Carlos Arvelo” Military Hospital in Caracas, made up of ophthalmologists Gilmar Pazos, Martín Araujo and Carlos Osorio.
For his part, the single health authority in the entity, Germán Serrano, highlighted the massive reach of the initiative.
I also point out that between the first and second phases of the plan, more than a thousand patients have been evaluated, which has made it possible to identify various pathologies and provide both medical and surgical solutions in a timely manner.
During a visit to the hospital, the regional director of the El Niño Simon Foundation, Reyna Pérez de Márquez, expressed her gratitude to the national and regional executive for the care provided to Trujillian families.
With the closing of this phase, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to the integral well-being and health of the Trujillo people.
