Participants included 290 Fortune Global 500 firms and industry leaders, and 180 companies have participated in the eight exhibitions since the opening CIIE, said Wu Zhengping, Deputy Director General of the CIIE Bureau.
The six-day event presented 461 new products, technologies and services, including 201 global debuts, 65 Asian releases and 195 launches from China, in industries ranging from biomedicine and technical equipment to green and low-carbon technology.
The VIII CIIE organized 43 commercial delegations and more than 700 sub-delegations, while registered attendees exceeded 460,000, a year-on-year increase of 7%.

Launched in 2018 as the world's first nationwide exhibition dedicated to imports, the CIIE was designed to expand China's openness and turn its vast market into a shared opportunity for the world.
Preparations for the 9th CIIE are already under way and more than 80,000 square meters of its designated commercial exhibition space has already been reserved.
