This Monday, the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Noyb reported that nine countries in Europe have complained that platform X has used personal data of users to train their artificial intelligence (AI).

In this regard, the Austrian NGO indicated that this violates European Union (EU) laws because Elon Musk's company used personal data without the consent of users.

Recently, Twitter (now “X”) has started illegally using the personal data of more than 60 million users to train its AI technology without user consent. Unlike Meta (which recently also had to stop AI training in the EU), Twitter didn't even inform its users in advance,” says the NGO statement.

In this regard, Noyb asked X to suspend this practice and that competent authorities take effective action on what happened in Austria, Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain for violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), reports the news agency EFE.
