A mural dedicated to the rescue dog Tsunami has been vandalized for the second time

For the second time, the artist Giordanni Sánchez's work dedicated to the rescue dog Tsunami was vandalized in recognition of his work in the state of La Guaira, an entity seriously affected by the two earthquakes of last June 24.

Through his account on the social network Instagram, Sánchez reported from San Martín Avenue that the work was once again subject to vandalism despite having been recently restored with the support of the community and several activists.

“This work, which has been vandalized again, is registered under copyright in the SAPI. That's why I call on the competent authorities to take action on the matter, because this is a systematic attack,” he emphasized.

He said that “other works by me and by other artists are also being vandalized simultaneously. In addition, I want to clarify that my physical integrity is being violated and that there are several people involved in the case.”

The mural is located in Caracas, on the Paseo de la Nacionalidad, just outside the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and very close to the Ciudad Universitaria metro station.

Tsunami, a 9-year-old Venezuelan border collie, has actively participated in rescue operations both nationally and internationally, and his performance has been widely recognized in La Guaira.
