Abel Pietro: Cuba is closely following the criminal escalation of the United States against Venezuela

The president of the House of the Americas, Abel Pietro, said that Cuba has closely followed the criminal escalation carried out by the United States government against Venezuela.

“Cuba has criminally followed up on all the lies, one after the other. They use lies as a weapon of war permanently to confuse the friends of the world and try to divide the people of Cuba and the people of Venezuela. The response given by President Maduro and the Venezuelan People to this escalation has really been very admirable, and we have followed that in detail every day,” Pietro said during the Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace of Our America.

The president of the Casa de las Américas stressed that millions of Venezuelans responded to the call of the head of state to join the Bolivarian Militia, with joy and courage to defend the country's sovereignty.

He also stressed that, in the face of imperial threats in the Caribbean Sea, the balance of the world is being defined, where rights, legality and diplomatic mechanisms are violated.

Pietro concluded that the resistance of Venezuela and Cuba is part of the irreversible advance of a new multipolar order, in the face of the declining unipolar model.
