Academia Puerto Cabello defeated Deportivo Táchira and consolidates itself as the leader of FUTVE 2024

Deportivo Táchira was defeated by Academia Puerto Cabello 0-1 on matchday 6 of the 2024 FUTVE League Apertura Tournament, leaving behind the undefeated one he held for 34 games.

The team of Noel “Chita” Sanvicente used the header goal of Argentinian Christian Moreno to confirm their status as leader of the local tournament with the Buenos Aires team.

For its part, Deportivo Táchira ended its streak of games without losing in the FUTVE tournament, however, the 34 achieved become the highest record for a Venezuelan team.

Meanwhile, Puerto Cabello, who hasn't lost so far in the Apertura Tournament, has 6 undefeated games and are leading with 14 points. While Táchira remains second, five points behind the Buenos Aires team.
