Enhancing the economic and traditional potential of the plain, the Government of the Apure state, representing its local leader Wilmer Rodríguez, together with livestock associations in the region, inaugurated this Saturday the V Proachaguas Agroindustrial Expoferia 2026.

The event, which brings together more than 200 producers and showcases the genetic excellence of the cattle and buffalo herd of the plains, takes place in the context of the festivities of the Nazarene of Achaguas, consolidating this space as the most important productive showcase in the Venezuelan southwest with the massive presence of its own and visitors.

The beginning of the day was marked by a massive parade that toured the town's main avenues, merging the religious fervor of Holy Week with the llanera identity of the joropo and the collared bulls. This initiative, promoted by the National Executive under the leadership of President (E) Delcy Rodríguez, seeks to strengthen food sovereignty through a strategic alliance between the public and private sectors. Through this exhibition, Achaguas celebrates its faith and strengthens the local economy through the commercialization of machinery, supplies and the exchange of technical knowledge in the agricultural sector.

Expoferia plans to achieve record numbers of commercial transactions this year, reaffirming the commitment of Apurea's producers to the country's industrial development. Closing the opening day, livestock judging activities will be attended by international judges, raising the fair's competitive standard to export levels.
