African parties and organizations condemn U.S. threats against Venezuela

In an official statement, the African Parties and Organizations, Members and Co-founders of the Anti-Fascist International, denounced the threats, manipulations, sabotage and imperialist maneuvers orchestrated by the United States, under the authority of Donald Trump and his allies, against the people and the legitimate government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“Venezuela is perceived as a threat by U.S. imperialism not as a military power, but because it constitutes a credible political, social and economic alternative that challenges the hegemony of the dominant powers,” says part of the writing, in a review published by the Venezolana de Televisión portal.

They also indicated that Venezuela dared to assert “its sovereignty, nationalize its resources and put its immense oil wealth at the service of its people.”

Also, that the Bolivarian nation “has demonstrated that it is possible to build a model of social justice regardless of the dictates of the IMF, the World Bank and Washington.”

“The imperialist forces seek to destroy the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, who embodied the dignity of the people and paved the way for a free and united Latin America. Through criminal blockades, disinformation campaigns, coup attempts and military threats, the imperialist enemy tries to crush the Bolivarian Revolution, but it will fail,” the text adds.

In addition, they said that the United States is carrying out these aggressions against Venezuela because it considers it “a threat to imperialism and all forces of domination.”

The members of the African Parties and Organizations, Members and Co-founders of the Anti-Fascist International reaffirmed their solidarity with the Venezuelan people in defense of their sovereignty and that of the peoples of Latin America.

“At this critical moment, we affirm that the Venezuelan people are not alone. Anti-fascist and anti-imperialist Africa accompanies them, defending the sovereignty of nations, the dignity of peoples and the immortal legacy of Hugo Chávez,” the statement concludes.
