From June 20 to 23, the ALBA Drums Meeting, the heartbeat of our identity, will be held in Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela.

In a press release, published on the website of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), he points out that it will be a space to highlight the brotherhood and cultural identity of the ALBA-TCP countries, as well as a meeting point for solidarity.

During the day, conferences will be held on Caribbean and spirituality, culture and politics, economy and cultural tourism, among other topics in the region.

The ALBA Drum Meeting is the first cultural space created by the Alliance to strengthen the common identity between the countries that make it up through homage, debate and reflection on the influence of African culture on the territories of the block.

The countries that make up a regional block attend this meeting: Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Lucia.

The guests will be Benin, Haiti, Honduras, Colombia, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay.

It will also be a meeting to learn about the traditional drumming of Venezuela, such as those of Naiguatá (La Guaira state), Curiepe (Miranda), Tamunangue de Lara, Guárico drum and other cultural celebrations.

The meeting includes a visit to different places in Venezuela to promote cultural exchange, as well as a procession for the Day of Spirituality in Caracas on June 22.
