In the Consensus Declaration of the 25th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance of Our America (ALBA-TCP), member countries approved 13 agreements, including repudiation, condemnation and rejection “in the strongest terms, the stated purpose of the recently published national security strategy of the United States (USA) aimed at reaffirming and enforcing the obsolete and historically defeated Monroe Doctrine”.
Consequently, in the reading of the official document, carried out by the constitutional president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the countries of the block reaffirmed their commitment to continue deepening the Bolivarian Doctrine.
In addition, the senior dignitaries of the nine member countries also condemned the act of piracy committed by the North American government, of illegally assaulting and confiscating a Venezuelan oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea.
The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance also reiterated their request to exclude Cuba from the unhappy list of the United States where the “promoters of terrorism” are allegedly located.
