The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), this Tuesday, January 21, issued a statement categorically rejecting the revocation of the decree that removed Cuba from the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism by President Donald Trump.
In the statement, the Alliance described the statement as “arrogant” and that it only demonstrates “the level of mockery and contempt for Latin American and Caribbean peoples.”
“The Bolivarian Alliance strongly rejects this act of arrogance that seeks to cause serious harm to the noble Cuban people,” the letter emphasizes.
Below is the full text of the statement:
The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) categorically reject President Donald Trump's decision to revoke the order of January 14 to remove Cuba from the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
Former President Joe Biden publicly recognized what the international community has always confirmed: that Cuba does not sponsor terrorism and has always fought against that scourge in any of its forms. Therefore, this arrogant decision of the president-elect only demonstrates the level of derision and contempt for the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
The world today is faced with the imposition of erratic, abusive, criminal and illegal measures in a totally shameless and unpunished manner by an administration that promotes hatred and causes profound deficiencies for the purpose of domination.
The Bolivarian Alliance strongly rejects this act of arrogance that seeks to cause serious harm to the noble Cuban people, demands the removal of Cuba from that list made to the ideologized measure of imperialism and expresses its absolute solidarity with the firm determination of sovereignty and dignity of this sister nation.
