The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) rejected, through a statement, the “interferentist and hateful” statements made by the Secretary of State of the United States (USA), Marco Rubio, against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
Here is the full statement:
The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) firmly rejects the hateful and interfering statements of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who, in his quest to justify his interventionist policy, has once again provocatively attacked Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, free and sovereign countries that have overcome decades of aggression.
The US representative, behaving in a hostile manner against a free Latin America and the Caribbean, promotes anti-values based on the genocide of native peoples and the exploitation of migrants. Today, this agent intends to blame our countries for a “migratory crisis” that his own government has caused. The United States is primarily responsible for forced migrations in Our America, with its economic wars, criminal blockades and policies of plunder. The “American dream” is a fable that exploits migrants and then deports them in inhumane conditions, as they have clearly demonstrated.
Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua are not the problem; they are victims of an aggressive policy that cannot bear to see free peoples decide their own destiny.
The ALBA-TCP demands the immediate cessation of aggressions against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, categorically rejects this new phase of extortion against all of Our America, which will not give up or be intimidated by lies and manipulation and supports the peoples and governments of these sister nations.
