ALBA-TCP questions judicial proceedings against Luis Arce in Bolivia (+statement)

In a statement, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) expressed concern about the instrumentalization of the judicial system for the purpose of political persecution against the former president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, in open violation of the rule of law, popular sovereignty and democratic coexistence.

In the document, the integrating block denounced that these types of practices “associated with lawfare, have been used systematically to delegitimize, neutralize and persecute popular leaders and political forces.”
