ALBA-TCP raises the flag of the State of Palestine at the Waraira Repano in Caracas

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) raised this Wednesday a large flag of the State of Palestine, together with the tricolor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the Waraira Repano National Park, in Caracas, in the framework of the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, Day of the Palestinian Struggle.

The executive secretary of the regional integration block, Jorge Arreaza, explained that “this is a flag of 330 square meters, 22 meters by 15. 270 meters of microfiber fabric were used, 60 meters of each color - black, white and green; 90 meters in red, since it was made on both sides with reinforcement of linear colors, 16 meters in white canvas”.

He pointed out that to reinforce the entire line of the breeze, 16 special resistant rings were placed, to be fixed to the canvas and attached to the guaya of the tower. “It was 40 hours 40 hours of making straight seams, plus ironing, plus a special bag made by the hands of five Venezuelan seamstresses, in a company in Valencia, which is owned by a member of a family of the Palestinian community, of the family of their children and they have given this beautiful gift to the people of Palestine, to the people of Venezuela and to the ALBA-TCP,” said Arreaza.

The secretary of ALBA-TCP thanked the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism, which organized the preparation of the flag in record time, after meeting 15 days ago in Valencia with the Palestinian community.
