The member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the
Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP)
rejected this Thursday the “unacceptable and inhumane” statements made by the
President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, about an alleged takeover of the Gaza Strip after the genocide perpetrated by
the Zionist regime of Israel.
In a statement, the regional bloc noted that “it is
inadmissible that the United States government considers valid the process of ethnic
cleansing carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people in their
own historic lands,” stressing that this proposal
flagrantly violates the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, International Law and
Human Rights.

After more than 15 months of cruel and uninterrupted
genocidal escalation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the countries of the Bolivarian
Alliance for the Peoples of Our America condemn, as
absolutely unacceptable, inhuman and in violation of International Law, the
statements made by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, regarding the forced
displacement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip and the alleged “taking” of those territories by
part of their country.
It is unacceptable that the United States government considers Israel's process of ethnic cleansing against the
Palestinian people in their own historic lands to be
valid. This proposal, which
flagrantly violates the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations,
International Law and Human Rights in its entirety, is governed by the
announced doctrine of national security of the United States, which, in an
unusual and extemporaneous way, seeks to obtain economic loot, as a result of
each military intervention, under the maxim of peace through force.
The Gaza Strip is an essential part of the State of Palestine,
together with the West Bank and East Jerusalem, territories occupied by Israel
since 1967, it belongs to the Palestinians and only they have the full right to
exist, live and develop their economic potential in their territory, under the basic
principle of the self-determination of peoples and under the protection of the relevant United Nations
Resolutions.
The ALBA-TCP joins the
international community's unanimous rejection of these irresponsible, expansionist and fascist aspirations and
expresses, once again, its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their
heroic resistance struggle against the genocide, the illegal Israeli occupation and in their inalienable right to their existence as an independent
State and as a free people.
