This Wednesday, the Sputnik website announced that the former president of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, gained an advantage over his successor, Joe Biden, in the presidential race, according to a new survey conducted by USA Today and the University of Suffolk.

The poll, which was conducted by telephone to a thousand registered voters from March 8 to 11, showed that Trump outperformed Biden by 40 to 38%, although this is almost a tie for the two candidates, who won their respective partisan nominations.

Trump's advantage comes despite the fact that 33% believe that the country's economy is recovering. This is the highest record since August 2021, when 32% of voters shared this opinion, USA Today said.

When it comes to party affiliation, 81% of Democrats support Biden, while 5% were undecided and the rest support a variety of third-party candidates.
