The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Friday, June 14, assured that he received “with great honor the necklaces and this crown, this plume that fills me with blessings and protection of the ancient spiritual forces of the original peoples of the Amazon”.
“I receive it with respect, with love because I am the Workers' President, the People's President, I can also say that I am proud to be a hard-armed Indian President, son of Guaicaipura.”
In that sense, he argued that if he is Indian and does not belong to his last names, “I am not part of the oligarchy, I am not one of the racist fascists who discriminate against peoples”.
This was highlighted by the head of state, in the city of Puerto Ayacucho in the Atures municipality of the state of Amazonas, where he was greeted by a tide of Pueblo with a lot of joy, affection and multicolored banners
“I am an ordinary man, I come from the neighborhoods, from the people and my blood proudly flows through my blood rebel indigenous rebel blood, the blood of indigenous resistance,” he emphasized.
He thanked the entire town of Puerto Ayacucho, “for the welcome they have given me in the streets, the knights of steel, the motorcyclists, the women, the youth and the men warriors of the Amazon, the grandparents and grandparents, the entrepreneurs.”
He also expressed his affection and respect for his brothers and sisters of the original peoples of the Amazon, “the Piaroa, the Yekuana, the Yanomami”.
