American mercenary Jordan Goudreau assured that the CIA created the Cartel of the Suns as part of a strategy

This Monday, it was announced through a publication in Russia Today (RT) that former green beret and American mercenary, Jordan Goudreau, stated in a recent interview with The Grayzone that the so-called Cartel of the Suns was created by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the 1990s.

“This is no secret; it's the truth... We have known this for quite some time,” he said, and he assured that the US intelligence community has been involved for decades in operations related to drug trafficking and that it derives benefits from it, details RT.

Goudreau assured that this drug trafficking group created by the CIA was not even officially named Cartel de los Soles.

“The Cartel of the Suns is almost a joke between us because, I mean, they didn't give themselves that name. There's a patch on their uniform that's a sun, and I suppose the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) called them that,” he said it came about as part of a covert strategy.

The mercenary also stressed that “the facilitation of drug trafficking by the CIA through this group is well documented.”

Goudreau explained that U.S. intelligence agencies operate regardless of changes in government and maintain projects of maximum confidentiality and restricted access (TS/SCI, for its acronym in English), allowing them to “facilitate and gather resources” derived from the drug trade. “And this is what they are trying to protect,” he said.

The Administration of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has continued to attack the Venezuelan government of the Nicolás Maduro mantario since last August, when international media announced a US military deployment in the southern Caribbean to supposedly confront drug cartels.

In the same way, the Attorney General of the United States, Pamela Bondi, doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of the Venezuelan Head of State on charges of being in charge of the so-called Cartel of the Suns whose existence there is no evidence.

Trump also confirmed last week that he had authorized the CIA to operate in Venezuela.
