AN approved agreement in favor of the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro

The National Assembly approved, by qualified majority, an agreement in support of the re-election, on July 28, of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The said agreement was presented by the deputy Grecia Colmenarez, who explained that the text embodies the essence of Venezuelan democracy and the Venezuelan people.

“On July 28, democracy triumphed again, the will of the Venezuelan people who raised their voices in favor of democracy and peace,” the parliamentarian emphasized.

For his part, the deputy Herman Escarrà, stressed that at this time the idea of peace, coexistence and respect for the people of Venezuela must prevail in the country.

“Gentlemen of the opposition understand this glorious people, there is no doubt here, the people expressed their will to re-elect Nicolás Maduro for the country's sovereignty, the integrity of the nation, ethics in public service, for the call for peace,” he said.
