AN approved agreement in support of the Fourth National Popular Consultation 2025

The National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved the agreement in support of the Fourth Popular Consultation of 2025, an electoral mechanism through which citizens will select priority projects for the development of their communities.

Deputy Carlos Mogollón presented the agreement in accordance with Article 111 of the Internal Regulations and the debates, stressing that the consultation constitutes a step forward in the consolidation of popular power and in the administration of public policies from the base of the electoral system.

Mogollón highlighted that organized communities defined the projects and chose the polling places, thus reinforcing the rights of citizens related to public space and the ability to decide their own destiny.

The agreement establishes support for the implementation and results of the consultation, recognizing its sovereign nature at the community level, where the people assume decision-making functions over resources and the execution of social projects.

State institutions are also urged to guarantee logistical, technical and security support, and the population is invited to participate in the day scheduled for Sunday, November 23.
