During the regular session this Thursday, the Venezuelan Parliament unanimously approved the Draft Organic Law for Women's Equality, in accordance with the provisions of Article 104 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the National Assembly (AN), in its first discussion.
“The purpose of this Act is for all women to fully and effectively enjoy and exercise their rights, guarantees and duties of equal conditions and without any discrimination,” explained Deputy Jessica Moreno, who presented the Bill.
In this regard, he specified that this Act contains 3 chapters 55 articles, an interrogation provision and a final provision.
In addition, she recognized the feminist character of Commander Hugo Chávez, who paved the way for women in the country to assume high positions where they carry out the country's politics in a participatory and leading way.
“We are the epicenter that revolutionized the Bolivarian Revolution, we are the way of doing politics thanks to Chávez,” he stressed.
