This Tuesday, January 21, the National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved the Draft Agreement to Declare paramilitaries, terrorists, drug traffickers, fascists, murderers, criminals and representatives of the international extreme right public enemies of former Colombian presidents Álvaro Uribe Vélez and Yván Duque.
At the regular session held at the Federal Legislative Palace, the presentation of the above-mentioned Draft Agreement, which was led by the deputy Pedro Carreño, recounted the criminal record and the connection between Uribe Vélez and drug trafficking and criminal organizations.
During his presentation, Deputy Carreño showed declassified files on Álvaro Uribe Vélez.
For his part, the first vice-president of the AN, Pedro Infante, also proposed including former president Iván Duque in the Draft Agreement to declare him a Public Enemy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the same qualifications: paramilitary, terrorist, drug trafficker, fascist, murderer, criminal and representative of the international extreme right.
Infante also presented some declassified official information from United States intelligence agencies that describe Álvaro Uribe Vélez as the 82nd drug trafficker.
He repudiated Uribe Vélez's statements last Sunday, the 19th, when he spoke of “dismissing” President Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón. For this reason, he proposed to include Iván Duque in the repudiation agreement as well.
