AN forms a special commission to study the credentials of those eligible for Attorney General and Ombudsman

The National Assembly (AN) announced the formation of a special commission responsible for studying the credentials of citizens included in the list of eligible candidates presented by the Nominations Commission for the positions of Attorney General of the Republic and Ombudsman.
The decision was informed by the President of the Parliament, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, during the regular session.
Rodríguez highlighted the work carried out by the committee chaired by Deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello and the quality of the process developed:
“It is necessary to set up a special commission to study the credentials and characteristics of eligible citizens who have been masterfully exposed by the deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello.” he said
The special commission will consist of the deputies:
Jehyson Guzmán, Carolina García Carreño, Pedro Carreño, Blanca Eekhout, América Pérez, David Uzcategui, Luis Augusto Romero, Omar Veracierto, Tomás Guanipa, Stalin González and Winston Vallenilla.
The president of the National Assembly recognized the performance of the nomination committee and the magnitude of citizen participation:
“Not only has this committee broken a record for the number of people who considered his name, but it also highlights the very high quality of those who were eligible for both positions.”
Rodríguez also highlighted the follow-up carried out to the interview process: “The interviews highlighted the human conditions of these Venezuelans. Congratulations to the committee and congratulations also to those eligible and elected.”
