The Standing Committee on Energy and Petroleum is preparing to close the public consultation on the Renewable and Alternative Energy Bill, which will be carried out with various activities in several regions of the country.
This was reported this Thursday by the president of the commission, Deputy Ángel Rodríguez, who specified that they will promote the inclusion of the first discussion of this bill in the Legislative Agenda of the National Assembly (AN) in this first regular session 2024.
Rodríguez recalled that this consultation process, with the legislators, began last year. He indicated that the closure will take place in the interior of the country, in order to strengthen its content.
He reported that the commission will also discuss the Critical and Strategic Minerals Bill; the Reform of the Mining Law and the Hydrogen Bill. He added that, once the design of these projects has been completed within the commission, they will be submitted to popular consultation.
Rodríguez believes that all these legislative proposals are novel and necessary for the country. “We need to legislate so that Venezuela can have regulations that regulate the development of these activities and boost economic growth,” he concluded.
