Members of the commission installed by the National Assembly (AN) for the preparation of electoral schedule proposals submitted to the board of directors of the electoral body a document with the possible dates for the execution of 10 elections scheduled for 2025.

The legislative commission was headed by the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, who pointed out that the document submitted to the board of directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) is divided into two parts; the first corresponds to the general elements of the election. For example: proposals on how candidates and voters should be called, accreditation processes, proposals to protect the vote, and others.

“The second part contains the proposals, born from political parties and groups of voters, on how the elections will be held: separately, together. According to the schedule, proposals were evaluated for when the parliamentary election will be held, for governors and mayors, etc.,” Rodríguez said, while stressing that the only power empowered to organize, carry out and count votes in the country is the CNE.

He also reiterated that almost 100% of the political organizations that are represented before the National Electoral Council participated in the development of these proposals.
