This Monday, September 1st, the international analyst, Jorge Valero, assured that, through progressive forces, social movements and the Latin American left, the Peoples would make themselves heard in the face of any aggression of the U.S. empire against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During a telephone interview with Venezolana de Televisión, he stressed that the Peoples of the region would consider any aggression by Washington to be an attack on all of Latin America and the Caribbean, and would therefore express themselves in preventive action in the field of international relations.

“They would find a truly convincing response from the Venezuelan people of national unity and defense of our sovereignty,” he said.

On the other hand, Valero indicated that a democracy of peace would be promoted in the countries of the region from the stage of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

He considered that CELAC should announce a summit of heads of state in the face of military threats from the U.S. empire; a proposal that had previously been made by the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro.

“A threat that is not only against Venezuela, recent military threats by the United States, let's say some spokespersons for President Trump's administration, have also been directed at Mexico, where there was talk of a mobilization of troops and investment, in quotation marks, in defense of the northern border of Mexico-South of the United States, which these countries share; in addition, the threat has been against Colombia, as well as with Brazil ”, he explained.

He also mentioned that CELAC is likely to request an emergency general session on behalf of the United Nations (UN), as part of a route of Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy to promote a deterrence of any kind of imperialist actions.
