Venezuelan youth are not full of hate, they are not being captured by fascism and, on the contrary, they have answered the call of the Revolutionary Government to re-found the country and work to achieve economic growth, said the minister for communes and social movements, Ángel Prado.

“This is a country where we all have the right to live in peace, but we also have a duty to contribute. The Venezuelan right has let it be seen that the youth do not agree with the development plans presented by President Nicolás Maduro, but that is not the case. Our youth have said we want opportunities in our country and we are going to be part of building those opportunities,” Prado said during a contact with Venezolana de Televisión.

On the other hand, he stressed that the Popular Consultation on July 27 will serve to make visible young people who are leaders within their communities and still remain anonymous.

“This 27-J I am sure that the number of young leaders in this country will grow, for communication, for economic development, for social work and, above all, with a great identity with our country,” he said.

The minister also stressed that Venezuelan youth have appropriated the methodology for the new governance proposed by President Nicolás Maduro to be protagonists of the development and transformation of their spaces.

He also highlighted that among the projects being promoted by young people, to be approved in the Popular Consultation on July 27, is the development of socio-productive projects as an alternative to the economic situation that has been presented to Venezuelan migrants.

He stressed that these proposals seek to demonstrate to those young people who left Venezuela, that dreams and great hopes are in this, his country.
