The rider Ángel Rivas, from the Trululu Guacamaya Group squad, won the fifth stage of the 60th edition of the Vuelta al Táchira.

With a journey of 162.9 kilometers in a time of 4 hours 9 minutes and 14 seconds, Rivas took first place, followed by Roniel Campos and Eduin Becerra, who took second and third places, respectively.

The result of the fifth stage brought about changes in the general table, which was led by Enmanuel Viloria from Guacamaya Guacafruit, followed by Eduin Bercerra from Trululu Grupo la Guacamaya and Jorge Abreu from Multimarcas MU Training Banco Plaza.

Jhonny Araujo, who had remained the leader since the first stage, was in eleventh position.

This Friday, the sixth stage will take place with the longest route of the stages of the return, 193.7 kilometers that will start at Plaza Bolívar de Tovar; in the course there will be four sprints, two of them eligible for bonuses and four mountain prizes. The arrival will be at the Jáuregui Military High School.
