Angolan Friendship League honors Venezuela for its solidarity

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Angola, Belén Orsini Pic, participated in the commemoration of the 46th anniversary of the Angolan League of Friendship, Solidarity and Peace (LAASP), a historic institution that since its foundation has promoted fraternity among peoples and the defense of the self-determination of African nations.
The event, which took place at the headquarters of Laasp, located in the Angolan capital of Luanda, brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, Angolan authorities, members of social organizations and the media. During the ceremony, the legacy of LAASP in consolidating ties of friendship and solidarity, as well as its contribution to the defense of peace in Africa and at the international level, was highlighted.
In addition, the president of LAASP, Elisa Salvador, awarded awards to the Embassies of Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mozambique and Palestine, for their commitment to the principles of friendship, solidarity and the fight for the common values of peace.
Upon receiving the recognition, the Venezuelan Ambassador conveyed her congratulations and thanks to the ongoing support of LAASP for the Bolivarian Revolution.
On the other hand, he reiterated the will to strengthen cooperation between the Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples (ISB), with which Laasp signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work in strategic areas. The event concluded with a day of cultural exchange and gastronomic tasting of Angolan dishes and the cuisine of the invited countries.
