This Monday, January 19, the Bolivarian Military Aviation Brigade General, Aníbal Rafael Bellorín Pereira, is the president of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services S.A. (CONVIASA).

This appointment comes after the recent appointment of Vice Admiral Aníbal Coronado as Minister of People's Power for Transportation.

Bellorín Pereira replaces Major General Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, who led the state aeronautical company since 2018.

The new president of CONVIASA served as commander of Presidential Air Group No. 4 since November 2024, notable for his career in Military Aviation.

In this regard, the president of Aeropostal, G/D. Arturo Táriba, expressed his support for the new authority. “We predict that each project will result in great success in its management,” said the manager in a post on Instagram.

The arrival of Bellorín marks a new operational phase for Venezuela's flag carrier.

Currently, the aeronautical sector is watching closely the upcoming projects to be implemented by the incoming directive to strengthen national and international connectivity.
