Animal experts give workshop on Animal Protection Law in Ocumare de la Costa

Based on the Aragueñdad Plan and awareness of respect for animal life, a workshop was held on the Animal Protection Act in the Ocumare municipality of the Gold Coast of the state of Aragua.
The conference was held with the main objective of discussing and analyzing the articles established in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on animal matters, as well as the regulations on domestic fauna, wildlife, environmental laws and other related legal systems that are in force and that must be applied correctly. The working groups were chaired by the mayor of the jurisdiction, Wilmer Leal, and they analyzed the articles of the current legal tool.It included the participation of experts who addressed crucial issues such as animal abuse, fines, sanctions and the penalties applicable when abuse is considered a crime, all depending on the seriousness of the offence.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various bodies belonging to the jurisdiction, including the Office of the Ombudsman, the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the People's Guard, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Firefighters, Civil Protection and People's Power.
