Anti-Fascist International: Imperial Fascism Has Crossed a Dangerous Line and Silence Is Not an Option

In a statement, the Anti-Fascist International expressed its solidarity with the people of Iran and condemned the “brutal” attack perpetrated by the United States government.

The letter described the US attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran as a fascist war crime, comparable to Hitler's expansionist aggressions in Europe.

The Anti-Fascist International condemns with total firmness and without any ambiguity the brutal attack perpetrated by the United States government against the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing it as a fascist war crime, comparable to Hitler's expansionist aggressions in Europe. Today, as 84 years ago with Operation Barbarossa, imperialism launches an illegal and criminal offensive, violating the sovereignty of a free people.

The bombing of civilian and scientific facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, carried out with weapons of mass destruction and stealth warfare technologies, represents an act of war planned with malevolence, which seeks to provoke a regional escalation with unpredictable consequences.

The United States, once again operating as a global gendarme of the military-industrial complex and as a shield for the most criminal and expansionist genocide-Israeli Zionism, erupts into a war that does not belong to it, arrogantly violating the fundamental principles of international law, trampling on the sovereignty of peoples, denying the right to self-determination and dynamiting any possibility of peace.

We denounce the criminal role of the State of Israel, whose systematic policy of extermination against the Palestinian people has reached genocidal levels under the complicit eyes of the West. Now, with the same cynicism and brutality, the intention is to expand the theater of war to Iran, based on the same national security discourse with which every massacre, every embargo and every colonial intervention in the 21st century has been justified.

Imperial fascism has crossed a dangerous line, and silence is not an option. We reject the claim that the US acts as the world's police when it is, in fact, the main factor of destabilization and death.

We call on the peoples of the Global South to activate internationalist mobilization, to break the media siege and to denounce this new war of prey orchestrated by imperial centers. We demand the immediate cessation of all military operations against Iran, the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region and the establishment of multilateral mechanisms to guarantee peace with justice. The Iranian people are not alone. Our solidarity is active, militant and committed to the cause of sovereign peoples.

Iran has the right to defend itself, we peoples have a duty to resist!
