Anti-Fascist International repudiates Marco Rubio's visit to Latin America

The Anti-Fascist International for a New World, on behalf of the Organized Peoples of Our America, issued a statement in which it expresses its categorical rejection of the presence of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio in the region.

The organization denounces that Rubio acts as a proconsul of hate and operator of North American imperialism, being one of the main people responsible for promoting sanctions, blockades and unilateral coercive measures that have negatively impacted Latin American and Caribbean peoples.

He is also responsible for legitimizing the persecution of Latin American and Caribbean migrants in the United States, which has resulted in serious violations of the human rights of thousands of people seeking decent living conditions.

Faced with this situation, the organization makes an urgent call to parliaments, local governments, social movements, political organizations and chapters of the Anti-Fascist International throughout the region to speak out in a frontal and forceful way against this interventionist agenda and urges them to reject the presence of this emissary of imperialism in the continent and to strengthen the unity of the Peoples in defense of their self-determination.
